When God says NO!

When we hear NO from our parents or a from professor we can feel shot down. Like our hopes and dreams are shattered. When we try hard and fail a class that NO makes us feel like we can’t accomplish it or we are inadequate. In our daily walks as Christians, we will get many no’s. Rejection from certain people is actually Gods way of protecting us and His NO is the same way.

When God whispers in our heart through our convictions, “NO, this isn’t right, go away from here” we can tend to look away and act like we didn't hear it. Sadly, I've done it many times. However, through His pursuing love He comes back over and over saying “No, this isn’t right, go away from here”. This can cause fear to spur up and your heart says what now? How will I survive? Where will I GO? Lord, I just got comfortable!

His NO’s are always followed by a transition. A change internally must take place before the change externally happens. God knows far more than we do and His no’s aren’t to make us suffer or feel afraid, it’s actually to do the opposite. The No is meant to bring joy once we see all the beauty He has lined up on the other side of obedience. Also, God did not give us the spirit of fear, but of love, peace, and a sound mind. The fear we feel in the times of No is not from God. The fear is from our insecurities and doubt.

I often noticed that my most apparent no’s were times I was most comfortable. God was shifting me and my choice to respond in obedience was the fuel I needed to move. The transition God wanted me to make couldn't be fulfilled until I acknowledged His NO and decide to trust Him through his correcting Love.

The NO isn’t to scare you although it might.

The NO isn’t to make you doubt everything in life.

The NO isn’t to make you want to run and hide.

The No isn’t to hold you back.

The NO is meant to push you forward in the right direction.

The NO is meant for you to be true to your heart.

The NO is meant for you to embrace each season in your life.

The NO is reassuring you that God is still with you and guiding you.

Today, you may be a woman who has gotten many "NO's" in her life. All the no’s can begin to break down your hopes and dreams. Trust that the No of Today is your first step to your YES of tomorrow.

A closed door allows a new door to come open. Don’t allow today's No, keep you from tomorrows Yes.

“The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.” Isiah 40:8
