Waiting on God

It’s a trend we hear our generation say today: “Trust the process”. Sometimes we do it and sometimes we don’t. But, daughter, picture this!

Have you ever tried preparing a cake in the microwave? Sure, you’ll have all the ingredients, and it seems like a great idea.  It's certainly quicker at three minutes instead of the regular hour. No one wants to wait. So you stick the cake in the microwave, warm it up, and then it’s done. Now it’s time for you to enjoy the cake, but the only problem is you taste it. (Make the face because I’m making it too.) Your cake isn’t fully cooked, and now you’re not happy we rushed the process. All because we wanted the cake to be done quicker.

That cake was your blessing. Can you imagine if God rushed the process of our blessing? Although you try, good things can not be rushed. The nails you want done, that cute hair color you want, and even that part that’s for your car to get it fixed. It’s all a process, and there’s nothing we can do about it because we can’t rush the process. Imagine if your hairstylist, nail tech, or mechanic rushed the process. (You can’t, can you?)

God will provide us with the perfect blessing. That thing you asked for is perfect, and God totally wants to help, but we can’t rush it. During this time we must trust God and His process. He knows the bills are due, He knows you need that job, He knows you need it, just wait on Him. I’ve got 3 ways you can do that:

1.) Study God's Word. Take a look at what God did for Shadrach, Meshach and Abedbego. They waited, had no doubt, and look at what God did for them. Check out Daniel! See what God did for him in that lion's den. Even Hannah with her womb.

2.) Cast your cares unto Him.

God cares so much about you and the things that worry you. He cares so much He doesn’t even want you to deal with them. He said, "Bring them to me. I will take care of them.”

3.) Simply Let Go and Let God

Once you’ve completed step 2, all you have to do is trust that process and watch what God does.

I am trusting God to wait by simply letting Him take the lead. Thanks for sharing
