TIME TO SHIFT

It’s officially September, which means the Fall season is upon us, and I am so excited to do hot chocolate devotionals soon. How about you?

Autumn is a season of massive shifting. Another word for shift is to transfer’. Long before my ministry started, before my YouTube channel even had 1,000 subscribers, God revealed the word ‘shift’ to me.

One day while a senior in college, I was up late studying with a friend when she informed me that she was launching a Christian blog. I was excited for her until I realized everything wasn’t up to par. I began, for the next hour, coaching her and showing her how to improve her graphics, prepare her content, and launch her blog powerfully.

I remember walking away from her feeling sad. I asked God, “When is it my turn to do that?” and with no answer, I just went back to my normal daily life not knowing within the next 4 months I would be launching His Daughter’s Closet.

I share this story to tell you the shift happens when you give out what you are afraid to give.

When we transfer our resources, knowledge, wisdom, and our gifts to others, we have to shift! The transfer doesn’t happen when we are secretly anointed, but when we share, empower, and equip others.

Elisha asked Elijah in 2 Kings for a double portion of his anointing and got it. After the transfer, Elijah went to a new level of Glory. Each of them Shifted!

When we are willing to transfer our knowledge and gifts, we open the door for a new set of Glory. Once I shared with my college friend my knowledge, it shifted her; but it shifted me too. Soon I got a powerful revelation to create my own blog and encourage women.

In this season don’t get frustrated when you feel people pulling on your anointing, smile with great-joy because God is transferring a tool of yours to someone else and shifting you to a new level in His Glory!

Share your beautiful gifts with others, because it's Time to SHIFT!

Scripture

"When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, “Ask what I shall do for you, before I am taken from you.” And Elisha said, “Please let there be a double portion of your spirit on me.”
