“Taste and see that the Lord is good!”

“Marlene, eat some oatmeal for breakfast, please. You will have a great start to your day because it cleans out your gut, and also it's a wonderful source of protein!” advises my mom to her pre-teen daughter, who at the time preferred the hearty breakfast meal from the local fast food shop.
Have you ever been in this situation before? You are being strongly encouraged to eat food that would not be your first pick, yet it's the very food that can help you achieve the daily goals you were created to accomplish.

Well, see, this natural example became my spiritual reality. As I’ve grown in the highs and lows of my life, I quickly realized that in the mornings, I started without undistracted, surrendered prayer, focused Bible reading, or a heartfelt song sung to God, I felt off. I felt unhealthy spiritually.
So naturally, the more I would choose my apple and cinnamon oatmeal over the sugary cereal, I realized that my health changed and my day truly felt lighter. Thus, spiritually at the start of 2025, I decided to implement what I call, my spiritual morning oats, daily as much as possible!
As we are all children of God, he calls us to grow, to develop into spiritual maturity. We must do the foundational steps as a developing child of God in-order-to produce fruit in our lives that allows others to truly “Taste and see that the Lord is good!”
In order to thrive in your faith as a believer, you must continually steward and pour into your relationship with God. It’s first a seed, before it’s a forest.
Thus, I will place my current Bible reading plan here for 2025. Yours can be different, modified or even the same. The key takeaway is to take time to receive your essential vitamins spiritually for a faith-filled day as a child of God:
~3 Chapters starting from Genesis through to Revelations
